Namibia Expedition 2023

This expedition was a 14 day trip that included:

  • Safaris

  • Farm Tour

  • Mine Tour

  • Tracking animals with Bushmen

  • Learning about different medicinal and nutritional effects of native plants from Bushman

  • Single night stays in rural Namibia motels

  • Several night stay with Pangolin trackers

  • Tracking Pangolins

  • Bushmen Healing Dances

  • Watching lions feeding on a giraffe leg

  • Touching the last two Northern White Rhinos at Rhino Orphanage

  • Soccer matches with locals

  • And countless other once in a lifetime experiences!

4 Nights at Ritter Ranch: mine tour, farm tour, trying medicinal plants, waterhole watching, game drives, playing soccer with locals

1 Night at Pondoki Rest Camp

2 Nights at Pangolin Research Foundation Base Camp: tracking pangolins with Bushmen, learning about conservancy of endangered animals, hike through Kalahari Desert, partaking in Bushmen healing dance

1 Night at Eldorado Safari Lodge: feeding cheetahs, lions, hyenas, along with seeing leopards, and other exotic animals

1 Night at Tsumkwe County Lodge: watching elephants enjoy a water from a well

3 Nights at Mount Etjo Safari Lodge: game drives, watching lions eat, and much more

1 Night at Sachsenheim Guestfarm

Meet the Professors

The 2023 trip was led by Dr. Leon and Dr. Wilber

  • Founder of Xavier Expeditions

    Dr. Leon started Xavier Expeditions and has been in charge of the programs sense its creation. On the 2023 Namibia trip he taught theology. Students learned the “Fourfold of Wisdom” and learned to appreciate the traditions and lifestyle of the Bushmen people


  • Biology Professor

    Professor Wilber was one of the leaders of the Namibia Expedition. He taught the students the science of aging. Students learned what causes aging and how to increase both health span and lifepan.
